Our Samurai Automobile Club 410 double-knee work pants.

 

The fabric is really representative of Samurai denim: a rough 17oz fabric made by weaving hard #5 slub yarn at low tension on a vintage shuttle loom, resulting in a denim that is heavy ounce with a rough texture. This denim will slowly reveal those great high-contrast and ‘popcorn’ fades over time. 

 

Other details include our Automobile Club tire buttons, Rising Sun labels, and the automotive parts-patterned pocket bags. For the sewing, we’ve used two colors: yellow and golden brown, with the stitch count, needle count, and stitch width all varied according to each part of the jeans to bump these up to the next level of attention to detail. The double-knee part of these pants is diamond-stitched in the same color as the fabric so that the stitching pattern will begin to stand out as the material itself fades. The silhouette is slightly slim and easy to wear as actual work pants.
