With their endearing appearance, fawns have long been cherished in Japan, where they have also been revered as messengers of the gods.

Born in summer, fawns have also come to symbolize the season itself, appearing as a traditional summer seasonal reference in countless Japanese poems and verses throughout the centuries.

 

Inspired by the fawn, we created our 15oz Piqué Brown Denim.

At its core is the 310 SUPER WIDE JEANS.

A relaxed, wide-leg silhouette meets the substantial feel of 15oz denim, creating a distinctive balance of volume and structure.

The first thing that catches the eye is the rich brown color of this fabric.

Inspired by the coat of a fawn, the denim features a refined, understated brown hue.

The fabric is dyed using vat dyes.

Resistant to color variations caused by weather and other external factors, vat dyes provide a consistent, stable color.

With continued wear, the denim gradually fades into a naturally softened shade within the same color family.

 

Unlike indigo denim, which undergoes a dramatic color transformation from deep blue to lighter shades, this denim retains its brown character as it fades.

The fabric is woven from 100% Texas cotton slub yarn.

Rather than using uniform yarn, we embrace natural variations in thickness, giving the yarn itself an irregular texture.

Furthermore, by weaving in neps, we’ve created a 15oz fabric with rich texture and character.

Subtle irregularities can be seen across the surface of the fabric.

At first glance, the denim appears in a subdued brown. Look closer, and you'll discover the character of the yarn and the depth of its weave.

The 310 SUPER WIDE is based on the S310XXII in terms of silhouette and specifications.
