These sport the thickest and widest silhouette of any of Samurai’s denim offerings. The arcuates on the back pockets are sewn in the same color as the denim itself, slowly revealing themselves only as the jeans fade. These are also made to include suspender buttons.
Musashi Miyamoto (1584-1645) was the most famous samurai of the “Ni Ten Ichi Ryu” school. This translates literally as ‘the strategy of two heavens as one’, but it practically meant that he fought with two swords at once, one in each hand. He is one of the Samurai appearing on our classic back patches, the other being Kojiro Sasaki whom Musashi defeated in the famous battle of Ganryu Jima, or Ganryu Island, in 1612.
