This motif is painted in the Toba-e style of Japanese painting which was popular in Osaka during the mid-Edo period. This style of Japanese painting shows scenes from people's daily lives in a comical manner.
On the front, the word "drunk" is brushed in Japanese calligraphy.

Our original heavyweight T-shirt series that uses only select high-quality raw cotton spun into slubby #14 threads. The fabric is knit on a vintage circular knitting machine known as “Daimaruki” that was used widely in Japan in the first half of the 20th century, resulting in a firm yet supple softness and level of comfort.
