A happi coat made of our Otokogi 15oz denim. It is the lightest denim in the Samurai family, but we've played with the thread tensions and loom settings to make this into a fairly stiff fabric. As a result, it has a firm texture and exhibits awesome vertical fading over time. It has a relaxed, boxy silhouette, and parts of it are made from an original fabric that combines indigo thread and black thread. As it ages, a mottled, spotted pattern becomes apparent. A pocket has been added to the inside.
